Statement
Priority Wire & Cable Inc. is a leading supplier of electrical, electronic, and utility wire and cable products. They have been in business for almost 30 years and have distribution centers located throughout the United States and in Toronto, Canada.
For their office space in Virginia, our client required six L shaped cubicles and two executive office spaces without the use of any permanent walls or high barriers. The office had to be open and conducive to collaboration.
We made the most efficient use of every inch of office space available by locating the executive office desk furniture at both ends of the space, creating flanking executive office areas, using the remainder for the cubicle workstations.
L shaped desks with hutches and tack boards were positioned against the existing walls. These L shaped desktops provide an extremely wide and comfortable desk worksurface.
In between, L shaped cubicle desks were designed with two distinct cubicle panel heights. The tall cubicle walls were used to create privacy for the executive office spaces, and to accommodate overhead storage bins for the open office cubicle workstations. Low cubicle walls were used throughout to produce a collaborative office space between the executive office spaces.
The tall cubicle walls were designed perpendicular to the big windows rendered through one of the longest sides of the office space, to allow a great amount of natural light to reach each and every individual desk, creating a light and happy work environment.
